What Should I Look for in an Agent for a PCS to Naval Station Everett?
A PCS move can require housing decisions before you have arrived in Washington. The right agent should be able to explain the process, work around your reporting timeline, and help you compare options without making decisions for you.
Ask how remote support works
Ask whether the agent can arrange live video tours or recordings, show areas that listing photos miss, and recap what they observed. Decide how you will communicate across time zones and who will attend inspections or vendor appointments when you cannot.
Build the timeline before shopping
Talk through your reporting date, temporary housing, financing, and any home you need to sell. If you plan to use a VA-backed loan, speak with your lender about eligibility, costs, and the property and financing process. A VA appraisal is not a home inspection.
Compare the places that fit your routine
Your commute depends on the actual work location, gate, hours, and address. Ask the installation for current directions and check routes at the times you expect to travel. Compare properties and communities based on your own priorities.
